On September 22, the Second Faculty Congress of the School of Marxism was held at meeting room X31325. The conference was presided over by Party Secretary Liao Jun and Mr. Wang Tao. Thirty-five faculty representatives attended this conference.
In the first part of the conference, Party Secretary Liao Jun conveyed the spirit of the 15th Party Congress of the University to attendees, introduced the basic situation of the 15th Party Congress of the University, and stressed the importance of the next step of publicity and implementation. Starting with the ‘Ten Aspects’, ‘Five Efforts to Build’, ‘Three Steps’, and ‘Five Adherence’, he vividly explained the main spirit of the 15th Party Congress of the University.
In the second part of the conference, the Second Faculty Congress of the School of Marxism was formally convened. After a show of hands by all faculty members present, the proposal of adding Party Secretary Liao Jun as a faculty representative of the School of Marxism was passed smoothly.
Associate Dean Li Xueyong and Associate Dean Hu Zixiang made detailed explanations on the assessment of teaching work and scientific research work respectively, refining and adjusting the requirements and norms on teaching work and scientific research work.
Executive Dean Tian Yongxiu gave a detailed description of the performance pay distribution plan, and explained the revision of the School’s performance appraisal method from the aspects of the guidance of performance distribution, basic methods, regulations on the amount of work, and reward for excessive workload. The latest revision of the pay performance scheme was approved by a secret ballot.
