Dear faculty members and students of the School,
Greetings from the School of Marxism!
According to the unified arrangement of the University, this year’s summer vacation will be from July 13 (Thursday) to August 30 (Wednesday). This summer vacation coincides with the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games (July 28 - August 8, 2023), and the Chengdu campus of our University will hold the torch relay and related competitions. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the higher-level authorities and in light of the recent actual situation of frequent fires, in order to ensure the overall safety and stability of the School during the summer, we hereby make the following warm tips to all faculty members and students of the School:
1. All teaching and research sections, administrative department of the School, and all faculty members should carry out a comprehensive and thorough inspection and check of safety hazards for all rooms under their respective responsibility in the two-storey building of the School before July 13, including teaching and research sections, seminar rooms, work rooms, offices, data rooms, study rooms, meeting rooms, lecture halls, and storerooms. For rooms that have not been used for a long time, it is necessary to promptly turn off the main power, lock the doors, and close the windows to completely eliminate various safety hazards such as fire and theft. Our School will carry out holistic supervision and inspections in the near future.
2. Since the access control system of the No. 3 Teaching Building will automatically fail in case of power cut, faculty members are especially reminded to lock the doors of rooms with keys before leaving the University to avoid property damage in offices caused by the failure of access control system after power cut.
3. During the process of conducting practical research and training in summer, in accordance with the requirements of the School’s notice on summer practical research and training, all faculty members should abide by the relevant discipline and must pay attention to the safety of persons, property, food, and transportation.
4. The student working group should provide student safety education on fire prevention, theft prevention, fraud prevention, personal injury prevention, online fraud prevention, and heatstroke prevention, and care about the learning and life of students who stay on campus. Students should strengthen their own safety precautions to ensure their own personal, property, and transportation safety during the summer.
5. Faculty members who are involved in guiding the summer social practice of students in the School are requested to do well in safety education and safety plans of the practice to ensure the safety of social practice. During the practice, students must enhance their awareness of self-protection, follow the instructions, pay attention to safety, and help each other. In case of danger, students should immediately seek help from units including the local government, and public security organs, carry out scientific rescue, and report to the School as soon as possible.
6. According to the unified requirements of the University, our School will implement the work system with leaders taking personal charge of the shift and specially-assigned persons being on duty during the summer. Faculty members on duty should strictly follow the University’s requirements to do a good job on duty.
